|Obama Campaign's National Day of Action ...1 of 2 >|
|July 16, 2011--According to an
e-mail from Obama for America national field director Jeremy Bird, the
"National Day of Action" was to be the campaign's "single biggest
organizing opportunity of the summer."
"All across the country, volunteers will be knocking on doors, tabling at public events, and registering new voters. One volunteer at a time, we're going to build the biggest grassroots network that politics has ever seen."
In Washington, DC, volunteers gathered at Democratic National Committee headquarters, before carpooling to various locations in Northern Virginia to register voters.
