"Repeal the HealthCare Act"
Jan. 18, 2011--Congressman Steve King (R-IA) and other members of Congress accepted 535,000 petitions from Ken Hoagland, chairman of Repeal It Now.org, at a press conference on a cold day on Capitol Hill.  Above King speaks as Jenny Beth Martin of Tea Party Patriots, Rep. Steve Pearce (R-NM), Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) and others look on.  The House is scheduled to vote on the Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act ( H.R. 2) tomorrow.  Democrats were also active, for example holding an informal hearing and organizing several conference calls to discuss the adverse effects of repealing the law.

Ken Hoagland started the Repeal It Now effort on Sept. 1, 2010 (Hoagland is familiar to many for his work on the FairTax; he left that position in August).  In addition to Hoagland the marquee signers are former Gov. Mike Huckabee and Michael Reagan.
