Presumptive Republican nominee lambasts Obamacare as bad policy and vows "my job one will be getting good jobs for middle class Americans." |
June 27, 2012—With a little more
than 130 days until Election Day, presumptive Republican nominee former
Gov. Mitt Romney, joined by Gov. Bob McDonnell, rallied at EIT, LLC in
Sterling, VA (Loudon County). The U.S. Supreme Court is expected
to rule on the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) tomorrow, and Romney
focused much of his remarks on the subject, stating that regardless of
the Court's ruling, the legislation is bad policy and must be repealed
and replaced. [transcript] In the Nov. 4, 2008 general election, 139,733 votes were tallied in Loudon County, 74,845 for Obama (53.6%) and 63,336 for McCain (45.3%); Obama fared slightly better in the county than his statewide showing (52.6 to 46.3%). |
