During the last seven months of the campaign (April 10, 2012 to Nov. 6, 2012 >), the principals made a number of visits to Texas, mostly for fundraising (at least 13 fundraisers by the Republican principals and five by the Democratic principals; third party candidates Gary Johnson and Jill Stein also did fundraisers in the state).  Romney's and Biden's appearances at the NAACP Convention in Houston on July 11 and 12 generated a fair bit of news.  Green Party candidate Stein also made some news when she was arrested supporting Keystone XL protesters on Oct. 31.
